As long as it’s not your daughter Katie, I think Katelyn is fine. You could change the spelling to"

Caitlyn
Kaitlin

How close of a relative is Katie. Do you see her regularly? What is her actual name?

Personally, I think Katie and Katelyn are different enough to avoid confusion.

I wouldn’t be bothered by the Katie in the family, it that you don’t like Kate or Kat...likely someone will try very hard to shorten it.

Personally, I say that it depends. Of your list, I adore Kristine, Keeva, Kathy, and Kaylee.
Like any of these, Poll Poster??

Kristine Marie (Kristy)
Kayla Grace (Kaylee)
Kaylee Michelle (Kay)
Kathryn Leigh (Leigh is a more feminine spelling of Lee; nickname Kathy)
Kathy Michelle
Keeva Grace (Keevie)

Let me know if you like any of those. Thank you.

Yeah, is Katie her full name?? I wouldn’t be really bothered by it, but I like Kristine, Kayla, Kaylee, Kathryn, Kathy, and Keeva better than Katelyn. By the way, what is your name?? Do you have any other children? Just curious. My name is Rachel. I have no children yet.

Kaylee Michelle. Yes Katie is her full name. I really don’t like Kate of Kat/Cat though so I’ll take it off the list.

I see. You want to take which name off the list??

Here’s some I think you should eliminate:

That leaves it to:

Kaylee
Kathryn
Kathy
Keeva
Kimberly (spelled like this; this is the real spelling)
Karen

I like Kimberly Rose and Kimberly Michelle.
Do you? I also really like K names. My name is Rachel Leigh. Do you like the name Keelie? It is on my list and I think it is soooooooooo cute!! What is your name? Alicia? Noelle? Lena? Laura? May?

Karen, Kathy, Kimberley, Kelly and Kristy are all REALLY dated.
Kaylee and Kinsey are too trendy.
I like Kirsten, Kaye amd Krista.
posted by guest :: 14 years ago | report
I don’t care if there dated. No one puts expiration dates on names. They can be used whenever:) and Kay is spelt with no e that’s trendy not my style of spelling.
