I wouldn’t.
I’m not trying to sound racist in any way here, but it just doesn’t seem right. Imagine him growing up with the name Jose.. Kids might make fun of him, and it’s very likely that a lot of people will ask him why he doesn’t look Mexican. Maybe you could name him George and call him hor-hay as a family nn.

i dont think it would be weird at all. im not mexican but i love tons of traditional hispanic names and i would never hesitate to use a name that i love. gl!

If you love the name, I would go ahead and use it. In a multi-cultural society, it’s not unusual for people to bear a name that is from another culture.

i think it would be fine, if that’s what you love. or you could always call him Joseph and nn him Jose at home. but i honestly don’t think it will be a problem, it will suit him because he’ll grow into it, i know of a boy with blond hair and blue eyes named Miguel and it suits him, i don’t think he’s of Hispanic origin.

I wanted to name my son Carlos...

I ended up not using it, but not for this reason
