Lila Jay vs. Elle MacLaine vs. Alexa Jay
I cannot decide which name to choose. I love Elle but I’m worried about possible mean nicknames (Elle smells, elephant). I love Lila but it seems to be getting really popular very quickly and I don’t want a top 10 name. I also love Alexa but this is already a popular name (top 50). Jay is my grandfather’s middle name and MacLaine is a family name as well. Please help me!!

I like Lane or Laine but my husband doesn’t-we are trying to decide between Alexa, Elle and Lila. He likes Elle the best and I think I might like Lila the best so we cannot decide. We will most likely leave the spelling J-a-y...yes it may be a boy’s name but I think it can be pretty as a middle name depending on which first name I choose...doesn’t work with Elle though...

I also think Alexa or Lila would be ok if you called her double name
"Alexa Jay" or "Lila Jay"
This would set her apart from others that may possibly have the same name...
It is my opinion that names are popular for a reason, because they are great! Also, if you are basing your popularity on names mentioned often on this site....its not a good judge, I think its the same people over and over a lot, or people see it on here and like it but don’t use it...
