Names vs. to represent vs. Margaret

Hi all, My mum and grandma’s middle name is Margaret, my mother in law’s name is margaret, and also my grandma in law middle name is Margaret. It would be neat to name my girl (perhaps mn) after this name, but I don’t like it in full. Nor do I like Maggie or Magda. Are there any other similar names???

Maisie is supposed to be a form of Margaret. Mairead is the Gaelic version. If I’m not mistaken Margaret means "pearl" so the name Pearl would be really cute as a fn or mn.

Daisy is a traditional nn for Margaret, as is Maisey, but my fav. is Greta!

Or you could do Margo, Magdalyn or Magnolia, I suppose.

Personally, I would use Margaret - that would be much more of an honour than just using a variant IMO. But here are some variants I’ve thought of..

Margot
Margaurite
Margarethe - I think this is the name of Prince Frederick’s mother.
