I am so sorry to post again but we really need help! We don’t know which spelling to use for our little girl! We really like the spelling Annelyn but we don’t know how people will pro. it. How would you pronounce the name Annelyn? Ann-uh-lyn or Ann-Lynn?? We would use Annalyn but we don’t want to have the teasing issue with Anal... Do you think this would be a problem? Please help us decide so we don’t have to post again! Thanks :)

If I saw Annelyn I would say it Ann-uh-lyn but I would defintiely spell it Annalyn or Annalynn to avoid confusion.

People are going to pronounce it Ann-uh-lin.
Just correct them.
Any way you spell this name, it’s going to get goofed up.
It’s not that big a deal in the grand scheme of thing.
And, for the record, I don’t think any spelling will be a big deal with the anal issue.
If someone in junior high decides to tease her that way, they’re going to do it no matter how you’ve spelled it.

I would pronounce Annelyn like Ann-uh-lyn but I do think she’d have a problem with teasing if it was Annalyn, esp in high school...it’s great that you thought of that now!

When I first saw it mine was ann lynn. I think Annalyn will get a better result. I don’t think she well get teased about anal. I would spell it Annalyn. GL

by the time she gets to high school she would have probably dropped the lyn and just go by Anna or Anne. So the anal thing won’t be a problem. I pronounced in ann lyn. I like ann uh lyn and would spell it Annalyn. GL
