Anything super trendy, anything made up, and for the most part names that aren’t names (destinations, verbs, nouns, etc.)

i don’t hate any names...however i do get annoyed with parents who make up crazy names and have crazy spellings for their childrens names. The kids are the ones who have that headache forever.

I absolutely loathe the names Jalen and Jayden.

I could go on and on, but I’m just going to limit myself to those two.

Lily and Emma-too popular and cutesy
posted by guest :: 2009-08-13 14:55:10 | report
I also hate Mc names! I don’t like unisex or masculine names on girls - Riley, Baylee, Peyton, etc. - they are not cute! I also don’t like trendy names for boys or "cutesy" names like Cory and Cody, they just do not work on grown men.

Elizabeth, that is a name everyone uses to go with any name for a middle name.

PP It is Miley Cyrus’ real name she legally changed her name from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Ray Cyrus. Just thought I’d make the correction.

Boys names used on girls. Once they cross over they rarely stay masculine, and when you try to name a boy you realize we’re running out of purely boys names!

Brayden and all other names with a "y" in the middle where it should not be.

I am so sick of Grace, Faith and Hope and all those cheesy names. For boys I agree all the -ayden ending names are so overdone. It’s like their parents didn’t realize they won’t be babies and toddlers forever.

McAnything, and these trendy new ones I keep seeing like Oakley. Also Liam because it’s like 1/2 a name. Liam is lame.

Girls with boys names doesn’t really bother me at all. It’s when I run across a girl with a boys name spelled wrong that really annoys me. All the Prestyn’s, Huntyr’s, Wesleigh’s, Colbee’s, Evynn’s, Rian’s, etc. If you’re going to use a name, that’s fine, whatever, just don’t spell it wrong.

I don’t like boy names on girls either. I don’t like Nevaeh. Allegra is a definite- that is a medicine!

Forgot to mention--anything with -son on the end when used on girls. It literally means "son of" whatever the front half of the name is, in Scandinavian countries at least. To me this equals masculine.
