I like the name Esme but my name is Victoria. I’m afraid if I use Esme then people will think that I’m obsessed with the Twilight Series, but I’m not. Should I still use it or wait until people don’t connect those two names together.

I say use it...just don’t name any future children Rosalie, Isabella, Alice, Edward, etc..... :)

I’ve loved Esme for years, and also Jasper.
I say go ahead and use it, unless it will really bug you if people mention Twilight-because they Will-guarantee it.
If that would drive you batty, use something else.

You should name your child whatever you like, names are repetative, so today it might be a name on a teen-movie tomorrow there might be a TV show who’s main character is name Esme or whatever you pick. My point is who cares? you have the right to pick whatever name you like for your child. By the way I’ve never watched or read Twilight and many people in my age range (I’m 30) are not familiar with it either, I think it’s a fad that will pass just like any other movie.
Is Esme pronounced EZmee or Amy? I’ve heard both.
