Is Paisley vs. too common?

I love the name Paisley for a little girl. But I think it is becoming more common & popular. Just let me know if you think it is common and if you know anyone by the name & where your from. (so I can see if it is popular in my area) Thank you so much. Jane, Utah.

I personally know no girls by the name Paisley. It is definitly gaining some amount of popularity, but iwas barely in the top 500 for 2008. The Baby Name Wizard (www.babynamewizard.com) has some really great statistical search features that allow you to look at popularity by state etc.

I don’t personally know anyone with this name, but I know many people who were planning on using it until they were convinced not to. So in other words, no I don’t think its popular because all those people (and probably others too, then) changed their minds

I live in Ohio and I don’t know anyone with that name and I haven’t heard of anyone planning on using that name. I don’t know where it is popular but I don’t think it is in Ohio.

It’s appropriate if you have a Scottish heritage (It’s the name of a town in Scotland) but the Scotch-Irish hatemonger Ian Paisley has made the name infamous.
