Anneliese (nn Annie) vs. Cool vs. Too "Little Orphan Annie"?

I’m totally loving the name Anneliese but I’m thinking that it will probably get the nickname Annie along the way... which I’m not totallyl sold on. Do you think that A) the name will get shortened to Annie, and B) is it a cool nickname? Thanks!

Anneliese is beautiful... if you don’t like "Annie" you could encourage other nn’s over it... Anne, Anna, Leah, Lisa, etc.

I love the name. I don’t think it will get shortened to Annie, especially since there are a lot of other options for nns, like Anne, Anna, Lisa, Elisa, or Elise.

Why not the nn Anna or Elise or Lise?

To me Ann or Anna is the natural short form, not Annie.
