I don’t see any of these names as strong, nor do I think they will age well. Stone is the worst, Zion just sounds like he’s form outer space and Memphis makes me think of the city, but it’s the best of the 3.

Memphis should make you think of the city. Since when is it bad to use locations for a name?? Haven’t you ever heard of Austin, Dallas, Dakota, Brooklyn?? Places, including Zion, are used in names all the time.

I like location names, but Memphis doesn’t quite do it for me, I like Austin better. Stone just sounds totally silly, but how about a names that means stone? Like Dustin, Dunstan, Aston, or Mason (stone worker). Zion is interesting, very religious, I think you would have to be a person of strong convictions to uphold that name. It is almost too much for a first name. Here are some more ideas of strong, solid, masculine names:

They lean on the side of being not professional enough, but would make nice middle names. I am completely with you on wanting a stong boy name, that is what I am looking for also. I just think that if they are too unique, they wont be taken seriously. I like some of the previous suggestions, so I’ll try to make some name combos that might appeal.

I think they are a bit too strange. Memphis might work though. Stone is too easily turned into stoner...which is not exactly the nickname I want for my son, even if it is just a joke. Zion doesn’t do much for me, its too much for a person name.
