All 3 are great names, but I LOVE Brady Maxwell. Brady is a great first name

I love Max and Luke, but I think it is silly to use Maxwell or Lucas if he is going to be called Max or Luke. They are so great on their own, no need to complicate things! Max Brady, Luke Brady, Brady Maxwell, Luke Maxwell, Max Lucas; they’re all great choices.

How is Lucas and Maxwell compliacating things? So this person is pretty much saying that oh, u might as well just name your kid a nickname, the full name is complicating it. Wow what an idiot.

Lucas Brady sounds best and will age very well. I love Luke. I like the idea of going with Lucas to give him a more full name when he’s older too. GL!

Maxwell Brady is my favorite! I think Max is a great nickname!

Max and Luke aren’t nicknames, they are full names, and I happen agree with the person above. I’m sorry if you (previous poster) don’t like that person’s opinion, or mine, but to call them an idiot is not only rude, it is very immature. I think what they mean by ’complicating things’ is it is unnecessary to name a child something they may never use. If Max is what you want to call him, then use that as the name. There is no reason he needs the -well part if he will always be telling people to drop that off the end of his name when they talk to him. I feel the same way. Max and Luke are great stand alone names. They are both full sounding, strong, and masculine. I personally like Luke Brady best, I think it flows great and it very handsome sounding.

I think if you spend your life being called Max or Luke, you aren’t going to switch to Maxwell or Lucas as an adult, Max and Luke are very adult names and I’d stick with one of those. Brady is too popular for my taste.

I love Max! It is such a great name! I’m not a fan of Maxwell though, I don’t find it very attractive. I like Brady a lot too, so I vote for Max Brady!

I agree with the 3rd poster, despite anything. Luke and Max are nicknames, they’re not as complete as Lucas and Maxwell. That’s why the poll poster put them in PARANTHESES! It’s the same thing as naming your child Nick instead of Nicholas and Liz instead of Elizabeth for example. There’s no arguing about it, it’s the truth!
Lucas Brady is my vote.

Saying that max and Luke aren’t nicknames is the same as saying that nicknames like Brit, Nick, Jill, Meg, Mel, Jeff, Jojo, Jess, Greg, and Bree are full names. These are all nicknames, not full names.
Anyway, all the names are gorgeous. Lucas Maxwell would be my favorite though.

Max and Luke have been stand alone names for decades, if not always. Just like Nathan vs Nathaniel or Eliza vs Elizabeth. There is nothing wrong with either one as is, and I understand the points made above. I have letters at the end of my name (making it a ’full name’) that I never use, even in the professional setting, I can completely understand the idea of using Max vs Maxwell. The fact that you guys are retaliating at them for just stating those ideas is ridiculous. They explained their opinions clearly and respectfully. If you don’t agree that is fine, but don’t dispute thier opinions. Simply state your own independent of what they have said. In naming, there is no truth or lies, right or wrong, and certainly no reason to call anyone an idiot or try to state your opinion as being better than any other.

In any case, I voted for Brady Maxwell because I think it is a really handsome name.

previous poster, you are retaliating opinions yourself! at least those people didn’t post their life essay! how ridiculous.

Agreed. Plus, Eliza and Nathan are terrible examples, because we all know those aren’t nicknames. Nicknames that are not full names are 4 letters or less usually.

I know two Lukes that are just Luke and a Max that is just Max. I also grew up with a Jill that was just a Jill and my daughter has a friend Bree that is just Bree. And I know a few Marks that aren’t Marcus’. There’s nothing wrong with Max or Luke, they are very handsome and strong names. Luke Wilson is just Luke. Luke Young (if you’re English) is just Luke Young. I don’t even want to start naming all the Max’s that are just Max. If someone wants to say they like Max better than Maxwell and then explain why they like that, is that any reason to bash them and try to say they are wrong? Come on now...

I like Lucas Brady, but for all intents and purposes, I also like Luke Brady, and think both are sufficiently handsome and solid names.

Great names! I like Brady! I love that name.

Interesting reading these comments... Eliza did actually come from Elizabeth. And Bella from Isabella, etc. Whether or not they are nicknames I think is irrelevant, they can be just as nice on their own. I don’t see and issue with Max or Luke. I think that’d be fine.

I now see why this one is so popular...hmmm...who the heck cares if it is or is not a nickname? I think the point was they liked the short version better. I’m not really sure why anyone argued that in the first place... I think they’re nice short. They are certainly a heck of a lot better than Moxie Crimefighter or Dweezle or all the stupid names celebrities use. I think you guys need to get this into perspective. Max vs Dweezle? Max. It is handsome and masculine, big freakin deal if it was short for Maxamilian at some point in history. Names evolve over time, nothin wrong with that. I’m pretty certain Max and Luke have been used as Max and Luke millions of times over by now, so those opinions are valid to me. If you like Maxwell or Lucas better doesn’t mean the person who liked Max and Luke was wrong by any means, they just like something different than you. That’s my rant and rave. Cheers.
