We Need vs. Boy & Girl vs. Names :)

My husband and I are expecting boy girl twins and are having trouble coming up with names to go with our daughter, Dakota Elouise. We kind of like Skylar/Skye/Skyler, but would it be okay for a boy or a girl? Also other suggestions are completely welcome!!
