baby girl vs. Benson
I am due a baby girl in the next week and a half. My mom has lost her battle to cancer, she was fighting to stay alive until my baby was born but it got too much. So I’m grieving, and the new baby will be bitter sweet! But she needs a name! My mother’s name was Virginia Lyn aka Ginnie. She was 57.
I’ve put some names in the first comment that I knew she wanted me to be called when I was born, so I’d like people to say which their favourite is.

Hi Sarah! My name is Abbie and let me just start off by saying that I am very sorry for your loss. I know what it’s like losing somebody close to you. You see, 8 years ago my dad lost his battle with lung cancer. The whole thing was a major shock since nobody in our family smokes or anything like that. I still cry. I have a question though. Is your daughter’s MIDDLE name going to be Benson? And is it for sure? Because I think that Lily Virginia, Georgia Lyn, Charlotte Virginia or Lily Elizabeth would all be beautiful combos. WDYT? please write back. And again, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mom would be so proud of you. Be strong.

My father passed away a week after my daughter was born so her birthday is always bitter sweet but you can honor your mother with your memories of her.... God Bless.

Georgia is one of my favs. and you could use Gigi-or even Ginnie as a nn.
I also like Elizabeth very much (love the nns Liddy, Libby, and Lizzy).
Virginia or Lyn are pretty mns (except I wouldn’t do Virginia with Georgia-lol).

I’m so sorry for your loss. I think including part of your mother’s name would be a nice way to honor her.

I am sooo sorry for you!!! I lost my mom about 2 years ago from lung cancer.

I’m so sorry, this must be absolutely difficult for you. I like Georia Lyn, Georgia is very similar to Virginia and you could even use Ginnie or Ginny as her nickname. Good luck:)

Looking at all these, I think I like where people have suggested L names, so I think my girls name will be Elizabeth.
When she is young, she will be Lizzie Benson, then later, Liz Benson.
