Aralyn vs. Evangeline vs. Arielle
Having trouble coming up with a name for baby #2... this will be our second daughter. Big sister’s name is Elianna. We love Elianna’s name because it is quite different without being totally weird, has a wonderful meaning, and a cute nickname (Ellie). We would like the same qualities in this next name, and would also like the name to go well with Elianna without being TOO matchy. Aralyn is my favourite - prnounced Air-a-lynn, meaning "with song", nickname "Arah". Evangeline is another one I adore - meaning "good news", nickname Evvie, Anni, or Lina. Arielle is my husband’s favourite - pronounced Air-ee-elle, meaning "lion of God", nickname Ari. I like the name but don’t want to name my daughter after the Little Mermaid, and it’s pretty much the name Ariel but altered to sound not so much like the disney character. Help would be great!!

My favorite our of your 3 is Aralyn. I know a little girl with a name similar, Arielyn. They pronounce it the same, nn Arie/Ari (Air-E) or Lyn. GL!

Aralyn sounds and looks way too close to Aryan-as in white supremacists.
I think Evangeline is the nicest option here.
The one Elianna I know has a sister named Magdalena nn Maggie.
I also know an Eleni who has a sister called Natalia.

Aralyn is the most gorgeous name i have heard. It is what i want to name my daughter, if i ever have a girl lol. i agree with you on Arielle. It is like the disney character just altered, and Evangeline is also pretty oly it reminds me of and older name. i would go with Aralyn if i were you!
