Claire vs. Clara
We love the name Claire but it just seems so popular now. Should we stick with Claire or go with the slightly more underused Clara? Do you have a reason why you like either name better? Thanks for the help.

Claire is very common as a mn, but not as a fn IMO. Claire is gorgeous, but I really LOVE Clara. I’m not sure why. I just feel like Clara is very refreshing and stunning. Either way will be great! =)

I actually only know one person named Clara and she is 65. I don’t know any Claire’s.

Every time I hear Claire I think of the breakfast club where he says Claire is a fat girl’s name.

We had a similar issue before my daughter was born. We ended up going with Clarissa. Perhaps you could look at some of the other variations of Clara and see if there are any you like.
