If you are going to give your daughter such a unisex/ or boyish name, I think you should consider a more formal name like Charlotte, Charlene, Char~ with the nn Charlie....that way she can choose. But there is no way how to predict if your child love or hate their name.

I like Charlotte nn Charlie rather than Charlea, which looks like it is pronounced Shar-lee-uh or Shar-lay-uh to me.

Charlea is much more feminine looking than Charlie or Charli. People are getting used to Charli, etc. as a unisex name.

It is cute though.
However, as an adult I would prefer Charlotte with Charlie, Carly, and Lottie as nn options.
