My name is Taylor but it is spelt Taelyr and I like it at times then Sometimes I think it is to boring and plain. My middle name is Allison .

Taylor has made the crossover to unisex. However much I do not like unisex names because I feel they ruin the name for boys, I must accept this one as both. I think it is fine, simply beacuse it is so popular on girls. I would not give it a silly spelling though. If you are going to use a traditionally masculine name on a girl, changing the spelling does not feminize it, it just looks tacky.

However, Taylor has been used on girls now for the last couple of decades. There was a bubble of them in my university classes a few years ago.
If you use it, go with a more feminine middle name.
e.g. Avoid names like Taylor Avery, Taylor Cameron, etc. No one knows whether the child is male or female! I find that frustrating as a teacher.
