How to say vs. Carolina

hwow would you pronounce Carolina? I love the name, but I like it Carol-LEIGH-na. Is there any way I can spell it so it is DEFINITELY Carol-LEIGH-na without being obnoxious like Carolleighna?

I would assume it would be pronounced Carol-Lee-na on a baby if I saw it, not like the state(s), but I understand your worry!!

The only way I can think of would be Carolena that doesn’t look crazy.

Good, because I asked a few people and they assumed Carol-lee-na, too. I think i’ll stick with Carolina for classiness.

I would say Carolina like the state if I saw it written out. How about Carolena or Caroleena?

i would have said Carolina like North or South. i wonder if there is a different spelling fr Carol-LEIGH-na or if it is just a way you prn it. hope you find an answer because it sure is pretty prn your way ;) gl

I wouldnt assume Carol-lee-na, if you wouldnt of said you wanted that pronunciation I woulda assumed it was like the State(s) Caro-line-ah, so if you want the Lee instead of line use Carolena instead of Carolina
