The truth of the matter is, I think it is a very cute name, if I take away any former connotations; however, I can’t help but think of a pet cow, or even chubby girl, which is very unfortunate, because I do like the name.

That is the Borden Cow’s name...Very cowish, Elsie kinda like Annabelle, Bluebell, Clarabelle...are all cow names in the south where I live. Sorry.What about Elise?

Elsie reminds me of a dinasaur in my favourite childrens film, i really love the name!! But think about Elsie as a woman trying to get a serious job.
