What do you think of the name Alda? We were looking into old names on our family trees (as in, many, many generations back) and a lot of the names are quite strange, especially for a boy, but we came upon Alda for a girl. What do you think? Thanks!

Sorry, maybe its because i’m older, but this name immediately brought Alan Alda to mind. Are you specifically looking for a family name...What about something like Aila or Arra?

I have a second cousin named Alda. We are from the south, so she uses her middle name and goes by Alda Gray. I’ve always thought that it was an elegant name. Never associated it with Alan Alda.
