Amelia-Rose Isabella vs. Amelia-Rose Annabella vs. Amelia-Rose Louise or Louisa or Caron

Hi! We are definitely calling our baby girl Amelia-Rose, but can’t decide on a middle name, and our surname is a mouthful in itself, so its hard to find something that flows nicely. We’ve had suggestions to cut the hyphen and make Rose her middle name, but we really like it the way it is now. Any suggestions would be great. My MIL’s name is Caron, so that was our other thought too. Thanks for your time, Louise

Keep the hyphen, it’s a gorgeous name! I voted for Isabella but then I realised your last name starts and ends with an L, so maybe it would be better to have a MN with no L on it.

I think Isabella and Annabella are beautiful names, but it makes the name WAY too long. I’d keep those names in mind for the next baby girl, and keep Amelia-Rose with a short middle name!

Think of the poor kid when she is trying to learn to spell her name, give a shorter middle name!! Caron (I am thinking it is Karen) would be nice and easy

I do not like hypenated names at all. I think they are awful. Do your child a favor and use Amelia as the fn and Rose as the mn.

If my son can learn to spell his VERY long name at 3 and a half, I am sure your daughter won’t have a problem learning to spell Amelia-Rose (I mean, how difficult is it to add a hyphen!!). There are plenty of kids with double-barrelled surnames or 2 middle names etc. Dont listen to anyone who claims that by using a hyphen, you are somehow crippling your child!
