Thiago vs. Thomas

My husband and i have recently moved from Brazil to the USA. My husband for our baby boy wants a traditional brazilian name "Thaiago" but i think it would be better to have thomas as a name so people in the USA can pronounce his name and so they wont judge him becuse of his first name. thanks maria

Thiago is quite nice, i don’t think anyone will judge him because of his name, i’m in England and i don’t find the name difficult to pronounce, but i am quite familiar with Hispanic names. Thomas is a very common name, so he will probably be one of many at school. i think Thiago is a much better choice, do you need a middle name?
