No, unfortunately Emerich is not an option.

We’re trying to stick with the "traditional" spellings, Emeric being the French and Emmerich the German.

emeric kinda reminds me of metric, no biggie just saying. i like the other spelling better

Emmerich looks better. Emeric would be easier to pronounce but it’s not a big issue since it’s just a mn.
