what do you do if your sister-in-law vs. has "stolen" your favorite baby name

I have always wanted to name my first son after my father, Richard. My brother and his wife are now pregnant and have announced they want to name their baby Richard...but not after dad, just because his wife likes the nickname Richie. I know it’s my brother’s father too and has a "right" to use the name, but his wife is making me angry. She doesn’t even care about the name Richard - just the nickname! We are a very close family but my brother is sort of clueless about baby naming and just going along with what his wife says. This won’t destroy our relationship or anything, but it’s important to me. I’ve expressed my desire to use our father’s name for my future son but both my brother & SIL have an "I don’t care about your feelings" attitude. Should I drop it? Should I keep politely expressing my connection and desire for this name? Should I not care and go ahead and name my future kid Richard anyway no matter what they do?

Help! I love the name Guinevere, but I can't think of a really good brother and sister name for her. Since Guinevere is so empowering, I want the next names to be powerful as well. Thanks, Genie!
Baby Name Genie:
You seek the Holy Grail of names. Let me help you in your quest. The brother of fair Guinevere will fight on foot with swords aplenty, but on his horse he'll surely lance a lot. Name him Edward for a regal name. A sister could be dubbed Katherine if greatness is what you desire.
