Gabe vs. Gabriel nn Gabe vs. Neither!
Hi! I posted last night with the name Gabe/Gabriel nn Gabe for our second son. Our first son is Silas, but we sometimes call him Sy as a nickname. Do Silas and Gabe sound like brothers, or should we keep looking? If you don’t like Gabe, or feel it doesn’t go well with Sy, please suggest other names! Thanks!

I love Gabriel nn Gabe. It is one of my all time favorite names. Gabriel & Silas aka Gabe & Sy are both cute. I think it works.

I’m not a huge fan of Gabe/Gabriel, but I think Gavin or Gaige would sound awesome with Silas!

I love both names! I’m considering both for my son! I always worried about the "[removed]" sound so that’s why I’ve second guessed the name.

Loove Silas!
I wouldn’t normally think of Gabe for a brother, but I think it works.
I knew several boys with this name when I was a teacher, and none of them had problems with the sound.

I also like the suggestion of Gavin, and I think Cruz would be cute, but it seems like a nn to me.
