We finally found a name we like but the Initials spell JAM. What do you think I love my name and my maiden name spelt out JAB and now I’m JAW. My mom was born CAP and became CAB, and no one ever made fun of these so what do you think.

June Alexandra MacAdam. MacAdam is going to be her last name. Our last name is West in case your wondering about the difrent Initials.

Long story made short, My husband was adopted by his step-father at a really early age and got his name. (West) His real dad didn’t have any siblings, and hubby was the only son of his and hubby wanted to carry on the family his father’s name. Our son has the last name MacAdam too.

I am not a fan of initials that spell things.
Also, if this is the case, your husband should change his name back or the kids should have your name. It is too wierd to give your children a totally different name.

I had a friend in school who was Jemma Angela M JAM and nobody ever made fun of it even though most people knew it. Quite often we’d go by whatever our initials spelt and she’d be called Jammy. It was just fun between us and so I doubt it would be a great problem for your child as long as they learnt to joke along with it.
