What names vs. are popular vs. where you live?

I am just curious. I don’t want my child to have a common name but I think that different names are popular in different areas of the USA and even other countries. I am just curious what the most popular names are where your from and where you are acutally from. I’m from central California and the most popular boys names where I’m from are Ryan and Matthew and the most popular girls names are Madison and Mackenzie

I hear Jayden and Jaylen all the time for boys and Isabella for girls.

You’re right that popularity varies.

You should check the stats. for your state at ssa.gov
or check the name mapper tool at babynamewizard.com
or look at the online nursery for your local hospital.

This method is going to give you a random sampling, that will be highly variable based on whether posters live in the suburbs or the city as well as how old/young their friends are etc. etc. etc.

Most popular girls’ names among babies we know are Ella,Sophie, Grace, and Lily

Anything that sounds like Aiden or ends in "en," or "on," is popular for boys.

You can look up the most popular names by state on the social security site. I live in AZ and the top then names are

I’m from VA which is no where near Cali lol, and for boys it’s Jayden, Ryan, Jacob and for girls it’s Emily, Isabella, and Olivia.

Sophia, Leah, and Emma are very popular for girls and Carson, Noah, and Eli are very popular for boys.
