Is this for a boy or a girl? Ali al-ee is a girls name
and Jonathan is obviously all boy so i’m confused??

Ali is too feminine. If you made it Alistair Jonathan, you could call him Ali as a nickname... Ali by itself though, just doesn’t work. He could end up like a coworker of mine who’s name plate on his office door is the only one in the building that specifies his gender--"Mr. Katy Daniels."
