It can stand alone just fine, but Everett nn Rett is too cute, :)

Tough call! Rhett works fine as it’s own but I think I like Everett nn. Rhett just a little bit more! Then as he gets older he could always go by Everett if he so chooses.

If you like both I would name him Everett nn Rhett and you get the best of both world! That way you don’t have to pick just one! :)

Garrett nn Rhett is cute too! But I think if you like Everette, then I would go with that. Rhett is cute, but I think it needs a full name

If we made it short for Everett, would we have to spell it Rett, or could we still spell it Rhett even though there isn’t an H in Everett?

You could still spell it Rhett

As a professional grown man I think he would prefer Everett

My nephew is a "just Rhett."

I think it works fine.

Very handsome and sporty-Rhett Butler is another obvious connection.

PS No rules on spelling of nn

If you want to call him Everett and spell it Rhett, it’s your perogative.
I’m sure you’ll have to correct some people, but no biggie

Rhett is fine for Everett, it looks more complete than Rett to me. My spell check likes it better too :-).

My brothers middle name is Everett and he hates it.

I knew a guy in high school whose name was Rhett. It seemed to work just fine as a stand-alone name. I do really like the name Everett though.
