Shower vs. gift vs. question!
Sorry this is off-topic but I need some help! My niece is keeping the gender of her baby a surprise so all gifts need to be gender neutral. She like Winnie the Pooh, so I was thinking about getting her one of these: An old fashioned Pooh hooded baby towel and a set of washcloths, or A set of 4 receiving blankets and a softer blanket (Both Pooh). The thing is, She likes the new Pooh (brighter yellow, bright red shirt) and I think that the older Pooh (softer colors) gift option is a bit cuter. Would you get the blankets since it’s the brighter Pooh or would you get the towel & washcloths? Thanks so much!

I think the older Pooh is cuter for baby gifts. If she is keeping the gender a surprise and letting people know that she likes Pooh, she will probably get a nice mix of new and classic Pooh. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, I’m sure she will love whatever you get her; though it is not a bad idea to get a gift receipt with your purchase in case there are duplicates! Disneystore.com has a very cute Winnie the Pooh "Disneygram" (a Pooh plush doll that can be personalized and sent to welcome the new baby after he/she is born)

I think that the pale Pooh is best for a baby, and the towel & washcloths sound super cute!

I agree, the classic Pooh is so much cuter! I’d go with the towel and washclothes. But as mentioned before, make sure to get a gift receipt. Gl!

Alice: Yes, I’ll be sure to get a gift receipt! I remember what a pain it was when people didn’t get one for me. The Pooh plush is too cute! Something to consider, thank you!

I love those hooded towels! I bought one for my son just the other day and was so excited to show it to him when I was quickly informed that 6 year olds are too old for baby towels. Darn it :(.
But I agree, classic pooh is wayy cuter! The new Pooh is cute too, just more-so for toddlers and young school-age kiddies.

Well, is she registered anywhere? If she is, then I would get her either option A or B from whatever store she is registered.

I would get the hooded towel/wash cloths, mainly because people tend to get Way more blankets than they need.
I would also get her a Pooh book.
You can find them everywhere.
And, I’d get some diapers/wipes, or baby wash, if you want something that "goes with," the towels.
The most useful gifts are the ones appreciated long after the shower!
