is it wrong to name a child (girl) echo? i just love unique names and people look at me funny when i tell them what i want to name her. please tell me your opinion

Echo is pretty for a middle name, i think its a bit too out there to use as a fn

It’s not "wrong", but I think you have to be careful with unusual names.... they often cross into " wierd"....Echo kind of pushes that line. I could hear children saying, " Echo, echo, echo, echo" ( Imagine it sounding like a real echo). There are many unique names that are not wierd. What do you think about Crimson? I think Crimson Johnson sounds nice.

I agree its not wrong. I went to school with a girl named Echo (but she was really skanky) Name your little girl what you think is beautiful. maybe something like Emma Echo or Echo Emma??

Have you read the story of Echo in Greek mythology? I totally recommend it. I like the name, but I don’t know if I would be brave enough to use it. I associate it with names that are maybe sliiiiightly more mainstream, like maybe Ariadne.

Echo...hm. Think of how the name would sound whenever you call your child...when you are upset, angry, happy...and even being lovey dovey...there isn’t much room for imagination...and I could totally see the child being teased...

Some unique girl names for you that would sound good with Johnson:

Carmelle
Katia
Zariah

Echo is definitely neat. Perhaps for a middle name...

It’s not the worst thing I’ve read on here (today, even), but I think she’d probably get sick of the lame jokes in junior high.

Agree with others there are way cuter names from mythology.

it’s quite pretty, but imagine you having to call her for dinner, while she’s watching tv or something "Echo, Echo! it’s time for dinner! Echo! Echo!" it just sounds a bit silly, but i think it was a name before it was a word... if you still love it then use it, she can always go by her middle name when she gets older. how about

Echo Alexandra Johnson
Echo Alyce Johnson
Echo Alyssa Johnson
Echo Analeigh Johnson
