They are both really cute.
If your husband likes the sound of Hailey, he might like the sound of Lainey, which has a similar feel. If he does, you could use Elaina with the nickname Lainey, and both get the sound you want. :) Sorry if this doesn’t help either!

Hailey is more common but definitely nice. Depends on how unique you want it to be.
