Destiny Japan vs. Lola Japan

My parents are from Japan and Immigrated to the states, before I was born. I thought I would name my daughter in honor of this. Is it weird?

I think it’s a bit weird to use Japan as a name. What about something a little more subtle?

I think it’s cute! There are kids with first names like India and Asia, and people don’t usually know other people’s middle names. (: I say go for it if you love it!

I agree with the previous poster. Here are some pretty japanese names:

Amaya (japanese for night rain)
Kai (forgiveness)
Kaiko (child of forgiveness)
Kameko (turtle child)
Kaya (resting place)
Keiko (happy child)
Kimiyo (generation child)
Kiyoko (child of happy generations)
Mari (ball)
Miya (temple)
Nami (wave)
Raiko (next child)
Seiko (success)
Suki (loved one)

I agree with the third post.
But if you do like the idea there were some lovely japanese names given in the last post.
But who really pays attention to middle names? Name your daughter with whatever name you love and makes you happy.
