advice vs. please vs. Odessa
Hi, I need some opinions. We really like the name Odessa but are worried about the flow with our last name Stokes. We believe that the first name should sound ok with the last name because at school and such they don’t often use middle names. So what do you think? Does it flow ok? thank you very much!

It flows well but i don’t like the name much. Appreciate that its only my opinion, each to their own and all that. Just find it too grown up for a little girl.

Don’t like Odessa. Makes me think of Odour. Sorry. Does flow okay with your surname though.

I can see the concern, but it isn’t that bad. If she becomes famous and her name is said/printed a lot, then she might want to through an initial in there, but just for role call and what not, it’s okay.

I think the flow is fine and I really love the name.It’s different but not strange or hard to pronounce.It’s very pretty and it’s unique in a good way.

You could try Odelia Stokes instead - slightly different, but so pretty IMO. :)

Not my favorite name ever... but it’s not horrible. I would use it as a middle name over a first name.

I like Odessa - it’s an interesting, unique name that I’ve liked for awhile but rarely see. I think the flow is fine as well.
