Yes, Andrea, unfortunately is the way the it is spelled. It just means they will have to correct people constantly unless you do some sort of trendy spelling.
This is my friends name. Its pretty.
Andreya , I suppose you could spell it like that? Looks a bit funny though ... GL!

Aundreya/Aundrea would be how I want to spell it, but agree it should probably be spelled Andrea. I think that family and friends and everyone who really knows her will know how to pronounce it (have you tried it out with family) but it would be strangers who just see her name that would have a problem. She could very well end up ann dree uh if you dont like that pronunciation I would rethink the name. gl

thanks everybody for your help, we are rethinking the name because I don’t want her to have to correct people all of the time and we also like the Andrea spelling, I appreciate all the input

Andrea can be pronounced either ANN-dree-uh OR Awn-DRAY-uh. I have known people with both pronunciations but the same spelling, and it isn’t a big deal to correct people. I prefer Awn-DRAY-uh myself, and always say that one first until I learn otherwise. I live in the US.
