Ethan Wayne vs. Lucas Wayne vs. Nicolas Wayne

Please help us decide on a boy name for our baby, if it’s a boy. Wayne is after my grandfather and father, so it is unnegotiable. Nicolas would be after my husband, since his nickname growing up was Nico (nothing like his given name). What do you think?

I love Ethan and Lucas almost equally, but Ethan sounds a little better with your last name. I’m not fond of using the exact same 1st name as another household member, even with different nicknames, because of the confusion it can sometimes cause (mail, etc.) Cole would be another option if you want to honor DH. While it is sometimes used as a nn for Nicholas, it is an actual name that is usually given on its own. Good luck. You have all great options.

I voted for Lucas. Luke would make a great nickname.

Honestly, I absolutely love Ethan, Lucas, & Nicolas though! I don’t think you can go wrong.

Nicolas Wayne got my vote. Nicolas is handsome, ageless and jazzy cool. I love the possible nn Cole, too.

I have to say, i read the first anonymous comment and am thinking they don’t know you at all! Who of these names would have the exact same name as anyone else in your family??? Not to mention, Cole would not honor YOUR DH as far as I know.... Perhaps I AM the one on the wrong poll???
However, I like all of these names, Nicolas is my least favorite... the other two are about tied.

I voted for Nicholas. Nick Diaz and Cole Diaz are both very masculine names.

My last name is also Diaz and I am also considering all of those names. Im 34 weeks and my husband and I have finally chosen the name Lucas Diaz, we still don’t have a middle name. Looking at all 3 options next to eachother, I actually love the name Nicolas! Nicolas Diaz sounds like a solid name that an adorable baby would be named and he can grow with it. And Nico is great nickname.
