I like Calla..I think I would pronounce it Call ah..

Im assuming Calla is like calla lily so I would say Cal(like Calvin) uh.

Calliope is Kah-lie-oh-pee

Calla is pronounced cal-la, ’cal’ rhymes with "gal", not call-a, "call" rhymes with "brawl".

Calliope is pronounced cal-lee-oh-pee, "cal" rhymes with "gal"

Calla is Cal-uh
Calliope is Kuh-lie-oh-pee

Calla to me would be Ca (like car) - La and Calliope would be Ca- Lie - o - pee.
Even the most simple of names can have pn issues as we all think differently. Most of the time once you say the name once people will know. Its not a big deal.
