We seriously considered Atticus for our son. My feeling is that it works better as a middle name (just based upon the sound), even if it’s what you end up calling the kid. James Atticus perhaps?

I would pair a traditional but popular middle name with a unique first name such as the ones you’re considering. I did this with my daughter. I think it brings balance to the name. So consider names like James, Michael, Matthew, John, Thomas, etc.
