My husband and I are not finding the gender either, but instead of picking only one name, we are picking two - one for each gender. Our current picks are Nathaniel and Naomi.

Avery Newberry is very rhymey. For a girl, I like Noelle (this spelling, Noel works only for boys). For a boy, Hayden is nice.

The problem with "gender neutral" names is that, after a time, they seem more feminine than neutral...

I would suggest:
Tyler Newberry (boy)
Taylor Newberry (girl)
Gabriel Newberry (boy)
Gabrielle Newberry (girl)

Florian is not a gender neutral name. It is a boys name.

Hayden is for a typical neutral name for me. With Noel, I would use it for a boy and Noelle for a girl. Avery is more feminine for me.
