I dont think people would call him Dick or Dickey. I grew uo with a few Richard the worst nicknames i heard from that name was Charazard. not to sure how that comes from richard though..

I would also worry about the nicknames that seem to go with the name Richard. I do like the suggestion of Howard Sterling. Classy and cute.

Alright, the reason I asked was because I have met two Richards in my life and they both went by Dick/Dickey. I would rather my son did not have that nickname.

Now I keep thinking, are Howard and Harvard too close? The only difference between them is 3 letters.

I think howard and harvad are close.. how old are you children, if you dont mind me asking. this is harveys little brother, the only little brother! why not get a nice list and let him help? if hes old enough that is.

Harvey is ten years old, Via is six years old and little Ellie-Boo is three years old. We do like the names Robert Sterling(also Robert Mason), Vincent but not matched with Sterling, and Albert Sterling.

aww my daughters name is Ellie too! shes only 2 though..
I also agree with the other poster, why not get a little list and let Harvey help. Robert and Richard are very nice. Mason too. but daughter Rosie named helped name Ellie and Evie, my twin daughters Evelyn and Eleanor. we had to down to Blair and Beth or Evelyn and Eleanor and i really think we made a good choice, and Rosi is always going to have the bond with the twins because she knows she helped name them.

Whit, I love your daughters’ names! I do like the idea of having Harvey help as this will probably be our last baby and his only brother. I know Harvey likes the names Terence, Benjamin, and Spencer as he names every toy one of those three.

Terence is so cute. Spencer made me think it Scott. ive heard the name Preston or Prescott. hm maybe. I like your style of names:) and thank your for the comment on my daughters names!
