Olive is very cute, but I’m not a big fan. Olivia is a pretty name very close to Olive though.

It’s absolutely adorable. I really like it. its one of those names that I don’t know why I like it so much but its just sweet and the right girl could pull it off fabulously.

in the movie Little miss sunshine the main character was named: Olive. So i don’t see whats wrong with it. And if you like the name alot you should consider it
However my personal opinion it is mor suited for a nickname for olivia.

I like it but don’t love it.
I do Much prefer it over the ubiquitous Olivia.
It’s a totally different name with much more of a hipster feel.
Olivia is a fine name, but it’s sort of a white bread, suburban name at this point, whereas Olive is still a bit more of a cool city kid/urban hipster name.
I will say I don’t think it will be edgy for long. It seems bound to be as common as Hazel and Violet (which I’d say are in the same style) before long.

I think its awesome!!! Do it!its on our baby girl list too next to Zoey.. Olive is unique.. And if the parents have strong personalities then she will too and OLIVE fits! My name is josephine, I went by Jo my whole life.. I have a very strong personality. It fits me, atleast I think! Go for it if you love it :)

I really like it! I met old woman one day while waiting on my car to get serviced and her name was Olive. She was so sweet and nice it made me love the name. We are considering it as a middle name.
