Cassandra Joanne vs. Yes vs. No?

Hi, my name is Lucy Fisher and my husband is Jack. We’re expecting our first child together, a little girl. Jack has a 14 year old daughter from a previous marriage named Alexandra Leigh. We’d like her to feel involved in the naming process, and she came up with Cassandra Joanne, after two of her favorite writers. WDYT? Do Cassandra and Alexandra work well for siblings? Does Cassandra Joanne flow nicely for a name? We’d really appreciate any comments you can give us. Thanks - Lucy, Jack, Alex and baby.

I like Cassandra Anne, not Joanne. I like Cassandra and Alexandra together, but does Alexandra go by any nicknames? Because I assume your going to call Cassandra, Cassie? Which is SUCH a cute nickname! If that’s the case, Alex or Lexi with Cassie does sound VERY CUTE. and i also think it’s really nice that your involving his daughter :) best of luck!

Alexandra and Cassandra are a bit close for my liking, though I like that you are involving your daughter in the naming. Does she have any other suggestions?

Thanks for the comments so far, it’s really helping. 1st Poster, Alexandra usually goes by Alex or Ally, and we were planning on using the nickname Cassie or Cass for Cassandra. 2nd Poster, Alex also likes Sarah and Holly. Do you think they’d work better with her name? 3rd Poster, unfortunately we don’t really like Cassidy, but thank you for the suggestion!

i like the name Cassandra but then I saw you already have an Alexandra so i say back to the drawing board, they are almost the same name just different beginnings, it will be very confusing if they have the same last name for mail et[removed]il one of them marries...now i see Sarah and Holly as other options and i dislike those too sorry, they are just too plain in comparison, good luck!!!

Alexandra and Sarah is REALLY pretty! I think that flows better than Alexandra and Cassandra. I’m not a fan of Holly, and I don’t think it flows very well with Alexandra, to me, they seem like two totally different styles of names.
