No idea vs. What to name vs. My new baby girl

After a tough last few years and dealing with so much I am finally blessed with a little girl! I am really worried because she only has me to care for her but at the moment as much as I love her I just feel depressed and not excited! Is this normal at all? I’ve lost her dad and my parents, so I’m just feeling really down! She arrived yesterday and I don’t even have a name for her! Sorry for the life story I just don’t know what to do or even where to begin with names! Please help, Allie

I would not worry about letting her down. It would be worse if this was a serious problem and you did not speak to someone. You need to make sure that you are healthy so that you can make sure she is also happy and healthy. Goodluck and congrats on a beautiful little girl!

Maybe name her after your parents? What were their names?

I think an appropriate name would be Hope. It’s simple and pretty and it sort of goes with your situation. Or if you want to be a little different, you could go with Hopelyn.

I like Ayla and Ivy.
I also like Isabella Hope.

My parents were called Katherine and Jack, but I would quite like to change it a little bit if I honour them to give her an identity of her own.
