well in my family I’m four and a half years older then my middle brother and six and half years then my younger broher and there twenty three monthes apart there pretty close but I’m not as close to them. if you wait four years then when your son starts college the other one will just be starting high school so after elementry they will never be in the same school again. I think a maller age gab is better expecially if your planning more kids

Ok, me and my brother are 5 years apart. We have always got along great and he has always been my "protector". I think the main reason why we get on so well is that we were brought up by our mother and hardly saw our father, and we went through a hell of a lot when we were young so it kind of brought us closer together. Also our family has always showed emotion and are very touchy-feely, and family is really important, so maybe this has helped us get on better. I think it depends on the amount of children you have. If you only have 2 children, they might get on better than if you had 3, like the first poster. I don’t know really.

My friend and her brother are 2 years apart and they always argue and have never got on.

Hi! My name is Alice and I have an older brother called Jack & two younger twin sisters call Olivia & Eliza. I’m 4 years younger than Jack and 2 years older that Olivia & Eliza. It’s inevitable that all siblings will fight. Livvy & Eli used to fight so much so times but other times they act like best friends! I fight with Jack but not like wrestling, kicking and punching, it’s just something you have to deal with. Older siblings are always going to tease the younger.

I think three years is the perfect number. My older brother and I are about three years apart and have always gotten along great. He was there to help me in elementary school and he was there to help me my first day of high school too. But my younger brother and I are only 15 months apart and we never got along at all. Anytime I’d bring friends over he’d try to be funny or cool since he was a grade younger than us and he would just bother me and my friends, although when his friends came over they’d always ask me to hangout with them because I knew them from school. Also, my boyfriend is six years older than his little sister and can’t stand it! She would always try to hangout with us and our friends and his parents would make us bring her with us sometimes and she’d just complain the whole time because she didn’t know what everyone else was talking about because she was only in elementary school while we were all in high school.

I like a smaller space. My kids are all in the 2 year range some just over some a bit under. They all play fine and have built in friends. My siblings and I are also very close in age, about the same spacing as my kids, and we all get along great. Have another:)
