Ivy and Ayla vs. good sib set vs. dont really go well

I was on here a few weeks ago looking for a name for Ivy’s (3) little sibling. Weve been concidering the name Ayla, a suggestion from our poll. Do you think they go well together? Is Ayla "classy" enough to be paired with classic Ivy? Ps, the prn is A-la, not eye la, thank you

I think Ivy and Isla would be cute. Ayla looks like it would be pronounced eye-lah or ay-lah.

We think Isla is too close to Ivy, and we call her "I" as a nn sometimes. We are going to pronounce it A (say the letter a)-la..... Like Kayla without the K.( not sure how to best write out the pronounciation,as the letter a makes so many sounds)

For my personal tastes, they are too close in sound and too different in style.

I’d pair Ivy with something a bit more classic/offbeat. Phoebe and Daphne both pop to mind.

But, if you love it, use it! I do think you should plan on at least half the folks who see it pronouncing it wrong, especially as Isla grows in popularity.

My next door neighbours have a daughter named Ivy and they’re expecting another girl. They’re planning on using the name Hazel. I think Ivy and Hazel sound really cute together.
