Adriana vs. Opinions?
I’ve always liked it but thought it was a bit of a "mouthful". My sister, when asked for her HONEST opinion thought it was "ethnic" or it made her think of a "goth". HA. I’ve never heard of that impression before. What do you think of the name? What personality do you associate with it? What middle names would you put with it? Ideally Italian, Russian or French...but in general. Share your thoughts! Even if you agree with my sister. :P

Italian, Russian and French are our heritage. Ethnic by U.S. standards - not Anglo-saxon.

seriously the MOST racist comment I have heard in awhile -- ethnic by "U.S" standards --- do you hear what you just said? So someone who is black is basically not American, American = white in your words then? Wow.

I don’t think he/she meant it like that. I think she/he meant a name from another country OTHER THAN U.S.A. She/He said nothing about the color of someone’s skin. You’re making it more then you should. Calm down.

Ignore the troll, everyone! Understanding basic sentences isn’t something this one’s good at. A little insight - I’m referring to OTHER peoples’ ideas of what "ethnic" is in this country. Get back in your sandbox princess and let the grown ups be. Thanks for the MN suggestions! I like them. :)

I think of a Hispanic girl. But that’s probably because the Adrianas I know are Hispanic. I think it’s a pretty name, but I agree with the first poster that it sort of has a snotty feel to it. If you love it, you should use it, though!

i think the name is beautiful and a great, lesser used option. with that said, i also admit that i understand the above poster’s comment about this sounding a bit racist, i am sure no one meant it like that but i just wanted to add that i do understand how it comes across like that. and just for the record, anglo-saxon means white, so skin color was definitely mentioned and i feel could be quite offensive to someone who is not white.

I would not say that it is goth or ethnic. I work at an elementary school and see a lot of adriana’s from all walks of life.
