...they’re both lovely! However, I have to say that I prefer Kate as a nickname to Katherine and Lily as a nickname to Lillian, and I like Katherine better. So I guess my vote goes to Kate?

I don’t really like either name because they are too common. Lily is a flower. Have you thought about other less common flower names?
