Is Emelia getting popular? vs. Yes vs. No

Me and my husband have picked the name Emelia for our baby girl who will be here in May. We Love the name and it we are not changing it but i was wondering is it going to be really popular soon? Her middle name will be jane after her grandmother. I really love this name and i love how unique it is and would hate for it to be the next emma or isabella? This can include variations like amelia amelie too that might be climbing the boards!Wdyt? Thanks, Sarah

Hi! I think Amelia is getting popular as a first name, Amelie is getting popular as a middle name, but Emilia isn’t getting that popular!

Amelia and Emilia are the same, just different spellings...

Amelia/Emilia are getting popular but it’s still a beautiful name.

Amelia was the 55th most popular name in the US for a girl in 2009.

Emilia was 400th.

Emelia was 879th.

Emma was 2nd.

Emily was 6th.

Emerson was 321st.


While Amelia/Emelia/Emilia aren’t too terribly popular (depending on what you consider popular), there will be many Em’s, Emmy’s, etc. her age given the popularity of Emma and Emily, etc.
