Massino?.. vs. odd? vs. cute!

My husband for some reason really really likes the name Massino (Mah C No) . I can’t seem to talk him out of it. I think its very weird but he says she can go by Massi.. im very unsure.. id love some sort of help!

it sounds Japanese? .. or like meccano (kids building toy) or masochist :/ and massi could be a nn for massive, sorry i don’t like it
