Wasn’t she Santas helper in the movie Elf with Will Ferrell? I like that name a lot. I say go for it...Kids these days have no clue who Bon Von Jovi is anyways...He will be an old man by the time your kid is in school. Jovie is a cute name.

Yes, that’s where I first heard the name Jovie, on Elf...it’s unique and I never thought of Bon Jovi until others started bringing it up.

I posted before saying I really like this name.
I actually had the name Jovie on my girl name list because I loved the character in Elf...but I found out I’m having a boy so I can’t use it. I think you should though it is a cool and unique name...very nice and I’m kind of jealous because it was the best girl name I thought of...good luck with your baby.

I think if you name her Jovie and you are worried about her name aging with her you should be sure and give her a middle name like Noelle or Claire..something a little more old fashioned so that she could be called that if she wanted...I do think though she would probably just want to go by Jo as a grown woman...that is a cute name.

We named our dog Jovie cuz it’s a happy sounding name that we got from movie "Elf" & we got our dog 2 weeks before Christmas.
